The Queensland Filipino Excellence Awards (QFEA) celebrates the achievements, leadership, and contributions of Filipinos across Queensland whose work has made a lasting impact on their professions, industries, and communities.

Migration is an act of courage. Every Filipino who chooses to build a life in Australia carries with them a story of resilience, determination, and hope. QFEA exists to honour those stories by recognising individuals whose excellence inspires others and strengthens the Queensland Filipino community.

The awards began in 2000 as the Queensland Filipino Women’s Achievement Awards (QFWAA), founded by former Philippine Ambassador to Australia, Her Excellency Delia Domingo-Albert. Established to recognise the outstanding achievements of Filipino women in Queensland, the awards became a significant platform for celebrating leadership, service, and excellence within the community.

As the Queensland Filipino community continued to grow and diversify, the awards evolved into the Queensland Filipino Excellence Awards (QFEA) to recognise the achievements of all outstanding Filipinos, regardless of gender. While honouring its rich history, QFEA continues to celebrate excellence across a broad range of professions, industries, community service, leadership, arts, culture, business, science, youth leadership, sport, and many other fields.

Today, QFEA is more than an awards program. As a registered not-for-profit organisation, it is committed to preserving the legacy of Filipino pioneers while inspiring future generations to pursue excellence, serve their communities, and make meaningful contributions to Queensland and Australia.

Through its awards and community programs, QFEA seeks to:
