WHY NOMINATE?

The Awards is the most prestigious and longest running awards series by the Office of the Philippine Consulate in Queensland, giving the opportunity for Filipino migrants to have their remarkable contributions to Queensland recognised. The Awards encourages them to serve as positive role models in Australia’s diverse society.

NOMINATION AND EVALUATION CRITERIA

  • Their significant contribution to their field
  • Demonstrating methodological rigor and originality, effectively communicated their research or innovation, and has a strong potential for practical applications or further development, among other qualities
  • Demonstrating their highest standards of business leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation
  • Demonstrating demonstrated excellence in the artistic, cultural or sporting field and their  proven impact on these sectors
  • Their excellence in community service, demonstrating creativity, innovation, and a positive impact on the community, while exhibiting ethical conduct and promoting social justice, equity, and inclusion
  • Demonstrating their leadership skills, leadership practices, effective communication and engagement with stakeholders as a young leader

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible to receive a Queensland Filipino Excellence Award the nominee MUST meet the following criteria:

  • A Queensland resident for at least five years (certified copy of utility bills, council rates to prove this).
  • With an Australian Permanent Resident Visa (certified copy of the visa stamp page of nominee’s passport).
  • Of Filipino heritage (certified copy of the data page of nominee’s valid passport with data page)
  • 18 years old and above (certified copy of the data page of nominee’s valid passport with data page)
  • 16 to 30 years of Age for the Young Leader of the Year Awards
  • The nominator must verify that the information about the nominee contained in the nomination is true and correct.
  • All nominees agree that their name and photo can be used in any promotional activities conducted by the Queensland Filipino Excellence Awards 2024 Task Force.
  • You may nominate a family member
  • Family members of either the nominee or nominator cannot be referees.
  • Task Force and Working Committee members of the Queensland Filipino Excellence Awards 2024 involved in the administration and judging of the Queensland Filipino Excellence Awards 2024 and their immediate family and any other people involved with the administration and judging of the Queensland Filipino Excellence Award 2024 and their immediate family are ineligible to nominate or be nominated for the awards.

  • Preferred that all nominations are submitted online
  • PDF version of nomination form is available to download and application must be sent to: nominationqfea@gmail.com

  • Integrity (of the information)
  • Availability (nomination is accessible only by authorised person, anywhere, anytime)

All Nomination must be submitted before or by the closing date: 5 pm (AEST) Wednesday, 31st of January 2024

Late nominations will not be accepted.
